A Good First Edition of this military history of the 1/5th Battalion of the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry from 1914 to 1918 complete with a very hard to find original dust jacket.

An ex-Devon Library Services copy with stamps / notations on the dust jacket's front flap, front free endpaper and to the reverse of the Title Page. Please Note: Whilst all four maps are present the "Badge of the Cornwalls" plate referred to in the List of Illustrations is not present as is usually found with this edition.

Hardback, 8vo, approx 8.5 x 5.5 inches / 22 x 14cm, xliii + 191 pages + 11 (of 12) illustrations + 4 maps.

Book Condition - Good:

Moderate to significant general wear to the illustrated maroon boards and spine (boards lightly bowed), gilt spine lettering clear and bright, securely bound with hinges fully intact and text block sound, significant foxing to text block edges with small patches of soiling to the top edge (no internal penetration), occasional light to moderate fore-edge creasing, very occasional mostly light internal foxing / soiling (mainly to paper edges, very occasionally moderate), overall internally Good+ in a clean, clear and very easily readable condition.

Dust Jacket Condition - Poor

Heavy general wear with repairs to the reverse using archive quality film, significant soiling, not clipped.
