A Very Good First Edition of this "hollow earth" story. C. Regnas is the backwards-spelt pseudonym for Charles Sanger who's Utopian underworld is a similarly backwards-spelt "No Sin".
The backwards spelling theme is further underlined by several chapter / page headings and the page preceding the start of Chapter 3 with the heading "A Lufrewop Elpoep Ni A Lufecaep Esidarap".
Book Condition - Very Good: Hardback, 12mo (approx 7.5 inches / 19.5 cm tall), 319 pages.
Light to moderate general wear / soiling to the original brown boards and spine (moderate bruising to spine extremities), gilt spine and front board lettering / decoration clear and bright, securely bound with hinges fully intact, neat gift inscription on front free endpaper (dated 1925), text block fore and bottom edges untrimmed (light to moderate dusting / soiling to top edge), heavy foxing to the plain front / rear endpapers with significant foxing to the Title Page and pages 318-319, otherwise only occasional mostly light internal foxing, overall internally Very Good on lightly browned paper in a clean and clear condition.
