A privately owned complete set of this late-1700s illustrated history of York.
All twenty two unindexed illustrations confirmed present in Good to Very Good condition but the numbering is rather confusing and erratic.
Hardback, 12mo (approx 7 x 4 inches / 18 x 10cm), Volume I: [iv] + 400 pages + 6 folding and 12 single page illustrations; Volume II: [ii] + 402 pages + 2 folding illustrations; Volume III: [ii] + 292 pages + 2 folding illustrations.
Book Conditions - Fair to Good:
Significant to heavy general wear to the contemporary rebound tree calf boards and spines (loss to spine extremities and corner tips; significant flaking to Volume 1 calf adjoining spine edges), joints cracked or splitting on all three volumes but boards still attached.
Text blocks firm with no loose pages, no previous ownership inscriptions, very occasional corner creasing and short paper edge nicks / chips, infrequent mostly light internal foxing / soiling (very occasionally moderate), overall internally Very Good with all three volumes in a very easily readable condition throughout.
Total weight with packaging 1.25Kg.
