A Very Good copy of this illustrated reprinting of Izaak Walton's work. Please note this copy is the first printing of the Harrap "Trade" Edition which was preceded by a signed, limited edition.
Hardback, 8vo (approx 10 inches / 25 cm tall), 224 pages with mono illustrations to the text and twelve full colour plates on gloss paper with captioned tissue guards.
Book Condition - Very Good:
Light general wear with two very small edge bumps to the original green boards, light fading / browning to spine cloth (moderate bruising to spine extremities).
Securely bound with hinges fully intact, neat ownership signature (dated 1943), top edge gilt (rubbed but still bright), moderate foxing to the untrimmed text block fore edge, 2 inch / 5cm diagonal pressure mark to the bottom edge of the first few pages (most noticeable as far as page 9), light to moderate foxing to the text pages opposite the plain reverse of the plates, otherwise only isolated instances of very occasional light internal foxing, overall internally Very Good in a very clean and clear condition.
No dust jacket.
